Clowns.. I HATE clowns. I've put a lot of thought into this over the years because I mean really, who doesn't like clowns? Well, this girl doesn't! I have been afraid of them as long as I can remember. Their painted on smiles and oversized shoes give me the creeps.
As a kid I had nightmares about them, I refused to go to the circus, mostly because of the clowns but partly because I was afraid my mother might sell me cheap as a side show act. I hated balloon animals because their was always a clown on the other side making said balloon animal. I blame my parents equally for my coulrophobia. See when I was born, my mother decided to go with cute little pastel clowns as a theme for my room which probably would have been harmless enough if it hadn't been for Stephen King and his 1990 blockbuster movie 'It" that my dad (without thinking it through) let me watch when I was 8. That pretty much did me in on the clown front! I hoped that one day I would outgrow this and that maybe they wouldn't bother me so much but last Halloween I went to a haunted house with some friends. It was supposed to be a simple hayride out into the field, I mean I expected to hear some chainsaws and maybe see some zombies but I was not prepared for the hayride to come to a hault, forcing us to get off in front of a haunted house completely infested with killer clowns! I didn't give a second thought to abandoning my friends. I didn't know I could still run that fast but I didn't stop until I was back safe and sound at the front gate! Never going back there again! As I was backing out of my sister's driveway I hear a faint 'meow' so I hit the brakes hoping to hear another 'meow' I rolled the window down and as I look out the window here comes the cutest little black kitten running up beside my car. His meow didn't really match his size being that I would have sworn I had nearly hit a mountain lion and this little kitten couldn't have weighed more than 2 lbs soaking wet. So there he is sitting outside my door staring up at me just hoping I'm going to give him a ride (I bet if he had thumbs he totally would've been using one). Since I'm allergic to cats my sister called for the kitten in hopes that he would make his way closer to her, out of the road so that I could make my getaway and he did just that. However I don't think the result is exactly what she bargained for. - See video below, apparently Kitten hung out for quite sometime in front of her door giving her a good piece of his mind! Ultimately he meowed his way right into a bowl of milk and my sister and I got a good laugh out of it, I think you will too! I was about 4 when I learned my first cuss words. My parents had a pool table in our family room (funny since I play pool now but never played a single game on that pool table). My brother (14 years older than me) convinced me that as long as I was under the pool table I could say anything I wanted to say and no one could hear me. He then proceeded to teach me several key words to say (cuss words). What he wasn't expecting was for my mother to walk in, freak out and yell "Carrie Michelle, what are you doing?" I simply responded "You can't hear me under here!"
