Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #59 Check out the report card that was recently released! Since Chandler would be at Catoosa's Wells Middle School if he weren't at Epic, I've included screen shots linked to the actual report cards for both Epic and Catoosa. Let's hear your thoughts, leave me a comment and I'll respond! Catoosa Wells Middle SchoolEpic Charter School - Middle SchoolBlog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #58
This is probably one of my favorite articles to date about charter schools in Oklahoma. I feel like it is as least the most objective stance I've seen in the news! Click here for the article! Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #57
I don't know what the solution is, I fully agree that traditional brick and mortar schools have some work to do if they want to stop hemorrhaging enrollments to charter schools but I have a hard time believing that advertising is all they are lacking. Nothing is ever that simple and after our personal experiences, I just don't believe it. What do you guys think? Check out the article here! Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #56
Do you solicit feedback from your co-workers, friends, or family? How do you ask for feedback? If you get offered feedback you didn't ask for, how do you take it? I've spent the last year or so working to improve my ability to build trust in relationships for a variety of reasons, and one of those reasons is so that others are comfortable enough to give me feedback especially when the feedback outlines weaknesses or areas for improvement. I recently sent out an anonymous survey asking for 1 to 2 things that I could focus on improving for my individual development plan and boy let me tell you. I got some feedback! At first glance, I felt my defenses going up, but it only took me a little while (and one kickass pep talk) to be open-minded and try to turn the feedback into actional objectives. I plan to share my experience via a video series. I'm just getting it planned out and ready to go so stay tuned. It's coming. I hope everyone has a fantastic week! Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #55 One of the best leadership conferences I've ever been to takes place every year in my own back yard! March 6th OSU Tulsa is hosting the 28th Annual Women's Business Leadership Conference and it is amazing! The speaker lineup is always outstanding, lunch is provided, great networking opportunities! I can't wait! Check it out below! 28th Annual Women’s Business Leadership ConferenceBlog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #54 Chan's graduation to purple belt! Proud momma right here! Today I thought I would share one of my all time favorite apps! I read a lot, like a book every couple of days but the only reason that is possible is because of the audible.com app! I have roughly 680 books through audible and I wouldn't trade it for the world! Such a great investment and well worth the price you pay for a membership. If you haven't already, I suggest checking it out. You won't regret it! A great book that I recently read was "The Ascendant" if you are interested. Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #52
Did you know that "We Bought a Zoo" was based off of a true story? It is one of my favorite movies, books, stories, ever!! I want to visit the actual zoo at some point in my life! Check out the true story HERE Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #51
Thought I would share some of the items on my bucket list while I'm working on a series that is not quite ready to be posted! Enjoy!

Holy cow I can't believe I made it to the halfway point of this blog challenge. Writing 50 of my 100 post goal is probably the best I've ever done with a New Year's Resolution! I have room to grow, to err is human, but I am having a great time with it and plan on continuing to get better. I hope everyone who reads my posts has enjoyed them. Next, I plan to start writing about my current struggles with how others perceive me, how I show up and speak up. Feedback is not always easy to hear because it usually means you have something to change or work on but I would rather that be the case than to keep going through life not knowing where and when I could have done better. Don't be afraid to jump in and start a conversation, leave a comment, let me know what you want to hear about. I have a loose plan of action, but I would instead write about what you (the reader) wants to hear about. Not that my life is overly exciting, but someone is reading these things so let me know you're here! Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #47
Thank you for walking me back to class at least once a week when I swore I was quitting middle school, and for staying on the phone with me until I got inside my apartment with the door locked because I was still scared of the dark at 21 (I’m still scared of the dark). Thank you for your infectious laugh, your wisdom and your unconditional love. I wish I would’ve asked you more questions and paid closer attention to your answers, that being said, you made it possible for me to have the amazing life I get to live. Happy birthday, I love you. I love my Ipsy bag! $10 a month gets you a cute little makeup bag and 5 products. Some of them are sample size, some are full size. It is a great way to try new things without paying full price for them. Check it out! Blog Challenge "100 posts in 100 days" Post #40
I love learning more about myself which means I have taken pretty much every assessment out there. One of my favorite's is Myers Briggs. My type is INTJ, if you are curious about your type you can take this free online assessment! |
